Bills deal DT McCargo to Colts
The Buffalo Bills traded defensive tackle John McCargo to the Indianapolis Colts for an undisclosed draft choice prior to the NFL's trade deadline Tuesday.
McCargo, who was a first-round draft pick in 2006, will add depth at the position for Indy, which lost DTs Quinn Pitcock and Ed Johnson to injury earlier this season.
The Bills traded up on draft day to grab the North Carolina State product, but McCargo has largely disappointed thus far and was unable to lock down a starting role with Buffalo. Appearing in 25 games over two seasons, McCargo has 29 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks. In four games this season, he has failed to register a tackle.
